Spain expected to be confirmed as the world's top wine producer in 2013

Growing conditions of a damp spring and hot summer is expected to see Spain confirmed as the world's top wine producer in 2013. The International Organisation of Vine and Wine will not publish its official figures until May, but the Spanish Agriculture ministry reported that wine production surged 41% last year, with vineyards producing 6.7bn bottles of wine. The Guardian.com said traditionally Spanish vineyards had suffered due to inefficiencies compared to French and Italian counterparts but that programmes of investment particularly in irrigation had driven improvements.

Increased harvest = high volume of testing, of course and the fully automated RX monaco is up to the challenge. This system allows for fully automated wine analysis, helping vineyards deal with the required testing at a higher volume.
